Although its name may suggest a feathery lightness, the cocktail known as the Paper Plane is as stiff as they come. The origins of this drink can be traced to a Chicago bar called The Violet Hour, where bartender Sam Ross whipped up this surprisingly smooth concoction of bourbon, Aperol and Amaro Nonino.
